Sollertia, our Art and Craft event of Jaipuria Fest, showcased the creative talents of students through a variety of artistic mediums, drawing over 200 participants from 25 different schools.
The competition Conflictus explored harmony through the depiction of the conflict between two elements, while Panorama Reset combined famous paintings with nature. Fashion Frenzi dazzled with trendsetting designs and intricate details, and Clay Encanto highlighted sculpting skills in a therapeutic hands-on competition. Finally, Tech Chroma merged art and technology, featuring innovative digital monochromatic art pieces.
In Panorama Reset, students embarked on a transformative journey by reimagining a Picasso masterpiece. The original painting, depicting a girl, was ingeniously morphed into a striking portrayal of a man, with the entire composition rendered in the fiery hues of red, orange, and yellow. The artistic prowess and imaginative flair displayed by the students were nothing short of phenomenal, as they deftly manipulated the color palette to breathe new life into the artwork.
Students from several schools, despite having never worked with the 3D medium of clay modeling, embraced the challenge with remarkable dedication as they sculpted mesmerizing pieces on the theme of “Sea Pollution.” Their creations, infused with meaningful elements, powerfully conveyed the urgency of environmental preservation.
Our Chief Guest for the Sollertia event, Ms. Aditi Agarwal, also known as Crafter Aditi, is a renowned artist with over 12 million YouTube subscribers. During her speech, Aditi shared her journey as a creator and artist, reflecting on her seven-year-long path to success. She noted that while people now see her during her best days, only she knows the immense hard work and dedication it took to reach this point. Aditi also emphasized further, “I always prioritized my academics, with craft as a backup option, but I managed to balance both.” Encouraging the students she said “When you hold a color, clay, or any material to create something, don’t see it as just a medium. Instead, recognize it as your power—a tool through which you can craft something truly powerful and impactful.”
Winners were felicitated by Our Chief Guest, Aditi Agarwal, Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra Ma’am along with the respected school heads and teachers. Modern Academy School took the winning trophy and Second prize was bagged by our school, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar.
