Middle and Senior School Prize Distribution Ceremony

On 1 August 2026, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School hosted the Middle and Senior School Prize Distribution Ceremony at the JIM Auditorium, celebrating the remarkable achievements of its brilliant students. The event reaffirmed the School’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, value-based education, and community collaboration. The Welcome Address warmly greeted all the distinguished dignitaries, teachers, parents, and students gathered for the occasion and acknowledged with gratitude the School’s recognition by T4 Education among the Top 10 World’s Best School Prizes in the ‘Community Collaboration’ category. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a spirited rendition of the Jaipuria Anthem, the National Song, and an instrumental presentation.

Ms. Deepa Wahi, Vice-Principal (Academics), addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of action-oriented leadership. Citing Sri Aurobindo and an episode from the Puranic tradition highlighting devotion, she encouraged students to actively find solutions to the problems confronting the world rather than being passive complainers. She closed her address with the inspiring message: ‘Don’t just highlight the darkness, be the light’.

The Academic Achievers of Middle and Senior Schools belonging to Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 (2025-26) were felicitated during this ceremony. In addition, the Excellence Awards in the Middle School were presented in the categories of ‘Excellence in English’, ‘Excellence in Hindi’, ‘Excellence in Sanskrit’, ‘Excellence in Mental Aptitude’, ‘Excellence in Arts’, ‘Excellence in Sports’, ‘Excellence in Hindustani Music’, ‘Excellence in Western Music’, ‘Excellence in Dance’, and ‘Excellence in Dramatics’. The students in the performing arts categories also enthralled the audience with their exceptional talent. Siddhi Mishra and Anmol Sharma were honoured with the School’s prestigious ‘All Rounder’ titles.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the engaging interactive session led by the Principal Ms. Promini Chopra with the All Rounders and their parents. Steering the discussion with warmth and insight, the Principal asked thought-provoking and meaningful questions that encouraged the All Rounders to reflect deeply and respond with grace and perception. Both Anmol and Siddhi acknowledged the support of their families in response to the Principal’s question about the driving force behind their success. Saathak Mishra, former Head Boy (2025-26) and brother of Siddhi also shared the ways in which he encouraged and guided his sister. Both the All Rounders acknowledged the School’s profound influence on their growth, particularly its value-centric approach and emphasis on Sanskrit. The session evolved into a robust interaction among the participants as they actively engaged with the Principal and discussed stimulating topics such as the challenges posed by social media, dealing with the spirit of competition, and giving back to society.

The Guest of Honour, Professor Vinod Solanki, the former Head of the English Department, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, then addressed the gathering. She began by invoking Sri Aurobindo’s message of the ‘Hour of God’ and observed that humanity is living in the time of profound transformation. She remarked that India is rising and experiencing a Renaissance. She engaged with the students and asked them to reflect upon the qualities that are needed to realise India’s destiny, to which the students enthusiastically said that one needs inner awakening. She then spoke about the moral lessons that one can draw from Macbeth, urging everyone to cultivate ‘aspiration’ rather than pursue ‘ambition’. She also observed that while the contemporary three priorities revolve around ‘marks, money, and marriage’, the goal of education should move towards true devotion to knowledge. She concluded by encouraging the students to serve the Divine and the country.

The event also featured a lively interaction with the parents in light of the prestigious T4 recognition, during which they expressed their warmest congratulations to the School on this outstanding achievement.  Beyond making a distinct mark in academic excellence, the Seth M.R. Jaipuria School consciously emphasises community collaboration, often prioritising the growth of the community over individual achievement and success. Moderated by Ms. Jaya Joshi, Headmistress (Middle School), this engaging session invited parents to share their personal experiences that reinforced their sense of community and belonging. The parents enthusiastically recollected several of their cherished memories from the School.

One parent shared a moving account of the School collectively coming to the aid of his daughter when she had to be admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis. He said that the entire School came together, starting from the teachers, the didis, and the gate wallahs, to help his daughter. This, he said, is what sets Seth M.R. Jaipuria School apart from others. Other parents too echoed this sentiment. One parent also shared how the School’s increased presence on social media made their children’s growth feel more visible and accessible to the parents, thereby reinforcing his sense of belonging to the School community. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem. The auditorium was filled with the smiles of proud parents and jubilant students celebrating their shared sense of accomplishment.
