On 14th October 2024, we were blessed with the tranquil and divine presence of the Sacred as we welcomed the revered Charan Paduka of The Mother to our school, Seth M.R. Jaipuria, Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The atmosphere was filled with profound peace and spiritual grace—a moment of true sanctity for all of us.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Meeta Bisen, a devoted Aurobindoite, who brought the holy Charan Paduka of The Mother from Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, to Lucknow. The blessed arrival of the Paduka at our school in the evening enveloped the surroundings with reverence, deep devotion, and spiritual calm.
The enshrinement ceremony commenced at 5:30 PM in the meditation room of our school, where the relics of Sri Aurobindo are preserved. The occasion was graced by the presence of Prof. Vinod Solanki, a dedicated Aurobindoite and educator, along with students of Jaipuria School, teachers, and many other devotees from across the city. The atmosphere was imbued with a deep sense of reverence as all gathered for the darshan of the Charan Paduka. Later, it was lovingly placed upon a cushion at its enshrinement spot by our Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra Ma’am.

The Charan Paduka were carefully sealed in a transparent glass box, followed by each person present offering rose petals to the Paduka in a gesture of devotion. Later, everyone sat down for a 45-minute recital of Savitri, where each attendee took turns reading aloud from the divine text, filling the space with the resonant energy of Sri Aurobindo’s words. Afterward, we entered a peaceful moment of collective silence, meditating for five minutes, allowing the stillness to deepen the spiritual ambiance.
The event concluded with the distribution of Prasad to all attendees, and we then moved outside to partake in high tea, marking the end of a truly blessed occasion.
The Meditation Room at our school remains open to all Aurobindoites, offering a space where one can enter, sit, and meditate, immersing themselves in the divine presence of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Visitors are welcome to stay and meditate for as long as their heart desires.
