The penultimate day of Pre-Primary Fiesta on 29 September 2026 saw a series of presentations marked by a confluence of meaningful messages and performative grandeur. The day belonged to the Nursery children of Sections G and H and the LKG children of Sections F and G, who dazzled on stage with their elegance, wit, and charm. While some of the previous Pre-Primary Fiesta presentations centred on celebrating the splendour of Lord Krishna, the presentations today revolved around extolling the virtue and glory of Lord Ram.
Nursery (G & H)
The curtains rose with Nursery G children’s beautiful presentation on Ganesh Vandana. This was in line with the School’s tradition of beginning events by paying their respect to the remover of obstacles. The Nursery H students opted for a profoundly reflective piece, ‘Yeh Kaun Chitrakaar Hai’. The little philosophers invited the audience to pause and appreciate the abundance of beauty all around us. They referred to the lofty mountains, the teeming rivers, the shining sun, the blue sky, the beautiful flowers, and the colourful butterflies and asked the audience who could be behind these beautiful creations. Together, they ended the memorable presentation with the poignant question, ‘Have you ever wondered?’
LKG (F & G)
In a nod to the Ramcharitmanas sessions conducted in the School, which taught children about the inspiring stories of Kevat, Shabari, and Jatayu, one of the presentations beautifully explored the unwavering devotion of Shabari and Kevat to Lord Ram. Continuing with the day’s theme of paying tribute to Lord Ram, ‘The Victory of Goodness’ presented a Dussehra skit with a resplendently dressed ensemble of young stars portraying various characters from the Ramayana. Their performance explored some powerful themes and conveyed some familiar rejoinders through catchy messages. They drove home the message that the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana is symbolically relayed in everyone’s lives, where one has to choose truth over falsehood, kindness over indifference. They closed with the message: ‘As we celebrate Dussehra, let us remember that the biggest victory is not over others. It is over our own anger, lies, and bad habits’. Crowning the Lord Ram-themed series of presentations for the day was a ‘Diwali Skit’, which celebrated the return of Lord Ram with children dressed in rich and elegant costumes, before concluding with a splendid dance performance. Beyond celebrating Lord Ram, other presentations included a couple of rhymes, a skit on ‘We Promise to Save Our Earth’, and a thoroughly fascinating monologue by Little Red Riding Hood, who cautioned her friends in the audience with the message: ‘Remember, a stranger means danger. And always listen to your parents, stay safe, and be kind’.
Grandparents’ Podcast
The day’s highlight was an exclusive podcast with grandparents and grandchildren, sitting together on stage, sharing fond memories and forging a strong connection with the entire School community. The segment featured one grandparent going down memory lane to share how things functioned differently in a world that was not dominated by mobile phones and social media. In response to one grandchild asking him what he would enjoy doing the most if they exchanged places for one day, a grandfather movingly said that he would very much like to spend the day as a student at Seth M. R. Jaipuria School. In a world besieged by increasing dependency on technology and social media, often leading to social isolation, the podcast with grandparents set an important precedent by reinforcing the importance of nurturing human connection.
