The seven-day Shrimad Bhagavat Katha organised at Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, concluded on 5 July 2026, bringing together students, parents, grandparents, members of the Jaipuria community and devotees in an atmosphere of devotion, reflection and collective learning. The discourse was delivered by Pujya Satyam Ji Maharaj (Shri Dham Ayodhya Ji), who guided the audience through the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran over seven spiritually enriching days.

The Katha commenced on 29 June 2026 with traditional Vedic rituals and the ceremonial worship of the Shrimad Bhagavat MahapuranPrincipal Mrs. Promini Chopra, along with the school leadership team, students, parents and teachers, offered their respects to the sacred scripture before the discourse began, marking the commencement of the week-long spiritual journey. In his opening address, Pujya Satyam Ji Maharaj spoke about approaching the Bhagavat with humility, devotion and an open mind, describing it as a path towards bhakti, wisdom and inner transformation.

Throughout the seven days, the school auditorium resonated with scriptural discourses, devotional music, bhajans and collective prayers. Students, parents, grandparents, teachers and members of the Jaipuria community gathered each day to listen to the discourse, creating a shared spiritual experience across generations. The Hindi and Sanskrit Departments of the school played an active role in the smooth conduct of the programme throughout the week, while teachers from across departments worked together to ensure the successful organisation of each day’s proceedings. A collective Yagya was also performed by the school community, bringing together students, parents, grandparents, teachers and devotees in a shared prayer for peace, harmony and well-being, further enriching the spiritual significance of the week-long celebration.

The concluding day witnessed the final discourse, devotional singing and the ceremonial Bhagavat Aarti, marking the completion of the seven-day Katha. The celebrations also included Phoolon Ki Holi, during which the school community came together in joyous devotion, filling the auditorium with music, prayers and petals. Devotional renditions dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, Lord Shiva and Lord Jagannath added to the festive atmosphere before the gathering concluded the spiritual journey with prayers and blessings.

The event reflected the school’s commitment to fostering value-based education and meaningful community engagement. This commitment has also been recognised globally, with Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Vineet Khand being named among the Top 10 World’s Best Schools in the World’s Best School Prizes 2025 under the Community Collaboration category.

Spiritual learning continues to be an integral part of the school’s educational philosophy. Students participate in daily Bhagavad Gita classes, where they learn the timeless teachings of the Gita and are encouraged to offer their thoughts, actions and achievements to the Divine. Initiatives such as the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha further strengthen the school’s vision of nurturing conscious, compassionate and responsible individuals while reinforcing the bond between the school and its wider community.
