Grades 1 to 4 – Celebrating the Spirit of Bharat

The English Storytelling Competition for Grades 1 to 4, held on the 29th and 30th of April 2025, turned the auditorium of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School into a vibrant stage of imagination, eloquence and national pride.

Centred around the theme “Celebrating the Spirit of Bharat”, the event invited four participants from each section, representing the houses of Wisdom, Strength, Harmony, and Perfection. The young narrators stepped forward with confidence, eager to share stories that honoured their nation and reflected its enduring values.

From moving tales of freedom fighters to inspiring accounts of ordinary citizens making extraordinary contributions, every performance echoed the soul of Bharat — a land of courage, compassion and timeless beauty. The stories not only captured the essence of the nation’s rich culture but also showcased the children’s growing awareness of India’s spirit and diversity.

The morning began with a gracious welcome to the judges, followed by a brief moment of silence, setting a reflective tone for the celebration of words and creativity that followed. One by one, the participants brought their stories to life through expressive voice modulation, gestures and heartfelt delivery, leaving the audience enthralled.

The judges commended the children for their clarity, confidence and emotional depth, and praised the teachers for nurturing both language skills and patriotic spirit in such young learners. The event concluded with loud applause and smiling faces — a fitting tribute to the imagination and passion of the school’s budding storytellers.
