The campus of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomtinagar, transformed into a living canvas of science and art on 20th August 2025, as Sciencia 2025 and Sollertia 2025 unfolded in unison. With the participation of over 20 leading schools of Lucknow and more than 700 enthusiastic students, different corners of the campus buzzed like parallel universes: one driven by logic, invention, and debate, and the other by color, rhythm, and form, all converging into a singular celebration of youthful brilliance.
Amit Kumar, Rashmi Srivastava, Shriyanshi Singh, Ajay Kumar, Akansha Vishwakarma, and Pankaj Gupta were among the distinguished panel of judges for Sollertia, and we are deeply thankful to them for their time, effort, and invaluable guidance in evaluating the participants.
Dr. Santosh Shah, Dr. Deepti Jain, Dr. Saurabh Jain, Dr. Prachi Srivastava, Mrs. Gunjan Tyagi, and Prof. Dr. Bal Chandra Yadav formed the esteemed panel of judges for Sciencia 2025.
Students of Modern Academy clinched the first spot in Sollertia. Students of CMS Kanpur Road, won the Sciencia event.
The day began with an opening ceremony attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the school’s Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, and distinguished guest Mr. Alok Dhwan, Director, Centre of Biomedical Research, Lucknow, whose words of encouragement set the tone for the day.
“The reason Seth M.R. Jaipuria School organizes festivals like these, bringing together science, art, dance, music, drama, literature, mathematics, and technical skills, to ensure that our students build leadership skills and experience life beyond books,” said the Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra.
“What impressed me most was the futuristic approach of the models presented by students. From a Braille printer designed to assist the visually challenged, to green farming projects powered by solar energy with water-saving drip irrigation systems, and even vertical farming through hydroponics, their ideas reflected a deep awareness of sustainability and climate change. Seeing school students already exploring solutions that align with the Sustainable Development Goals is truly remarkable,” said Mr. Alok Dhwan, Director, Centre of Biomedical Research, Lucknow, Chief Guest of the evening.
“Every school follows a set curriculum where teachers guide their own students, but what sets Jaipuria apart is the way it provides a platform to showcase the creativity not only of its own learners but also of students from other schools. I am truly glad to see such an inclusive and inspiring initiative being organized here,” said Dr. Sunil K. Vishwakarma, President, Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow, Chief Guest of the evening.
After his speech, Dr. Sunil gracefully took up the brush and brought to life an exquisite image of Lord Ganesha, captivating everyone with his excellent skills.
From there, the energy diverged into two vibrantly different yet equally enriching paths. At one venue, Sciencia 2025, themed Science vs Fiction, blended curiosity with critical thinking, daring students to dissect the possibility behind the impossible. The fest featured thrilling events such as Encencao (Roleplay), where participants stepped into the personas of great scientific revolutionaries like Marie Curie, Edwin Hubble, and Charles Darwin, transporting the audience into the minds of legends. Explicacao Possível (What If…?) tested the imagination of students on speculative hypotheses such as time travel and teleportation, while the ever-energetic Debata Sessão brought high-stakes clashes where logic met speculation.
In the Investors’ Pitch, innovation met entrepreneurial persuasion, with proposals such as ZeroDrop, a waterless car wash company, and SkillNora, a learning platform where students could access short-form content like reels to simplify complex subjects. Alongside these, the Model Making competition allowed ideas to take shape in physical form, showcasing projects on AI vision, voice-to-Braille converters, and a survival prototype for Mars. Vibrant creative expressions were also explored through Poster Designing and Comic Strip Writing, which merged science with art to communicate complex concepts in visually appealing formats.
Dynamic challenges such as the Treasure Hunt tested teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while Capture the Moment ensured the fest was documented through short, impactful student-made documentaries.
At Sollertia, Canvas to Couture stunned audiences as teams designed wearable outfits from waste materials, showcasing the dual poles of structure and fluidity, masculinity and femininity. A group of students particularly impressed the judges with their creative depiction of Lord Krishna using sustainable materials.
They explained, “As the given theme focused on masculinity and femininity in balance with softness, we found Lord Krishna to be the most profound embodiment of this idea. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna represents both strength and tenderness, wielding the Sudarshan Chakra with unwavering power, yet embodying compassion, grace, and eternal softness of spirit.”
