Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar celebrated its 30th Junior School Founders’ Day with Shri Ashutosh Pandey, IPS ADG – Prosecution, Uttar Pradesh Police as the Chief Guest. A myriad of events were organised to celebrate 30 years of the school, replete with cultural performances and exhibits by the activities and clubs.
Shri Ashutosh Pandey ji observed the demonstrations by the students, interacting and giving suggestions to them. In his address to the audience, he said, “We should learn ethics from the young children and how they enjoy the niceties of life.” He further congratulated the Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, and the teachers for preparing the youth to become leaders of modern India.
Origami, glass and sand painting, besides art and craft, educational and literary presentations, were a focal point of the morning events, with guests expressing their appreciation for the exemplary work done by the students. Some major highlights of the exhibition were the live events including yoga, quizzes, conversations with William Shakespeare, discussions, and dramatic representations of issues pertaining to society at large.
The evening witnessed a rainbow of programmes including various dances, poetry, and songs, meant to lift the spirits, like the rendition of Raag Bhopali by the orchestra. A story of determination from the Vishnu Purana dramatised in Sanskrit, an English adaptation of the classic children’s story ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ and the tale of Ashoka — a journey to transform oneself by self-introspection — received admiration from the onlookers.
The programme concluded with resounding applause from our preeminent guests, and proud parents and teachers.
