The Annual Exhibition at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow was organised on the 19th of November, 2016.”Leave No One Behind”……With this zeal and enthusiasm an organised presentation and display of art and craft was held. Hundred’s of display dotted with several craft items made by the students from class 1 to class 9th were showcased to the parents and many city schools. The Exhibition was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by the school’s Vice-Chairperson Mrs. Anjali Jaipuria, Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra, Vice Principal Administration, Dr. A. Vidyarthi, Ms. Alpana Goel, Head Innovations and Academics.`Rangoli’, a traditional art work done on the floor using different colours was truly the best way to open the grand school exhibition.Clay modelling, a popular activity with the students created everything from pots, diyas, little ganesha’s.’Healthy’,` Mouth watering’,` Delicious’, `Tempting’, `Attractive’……Yes, Non-Fire cooking was ready with its flavored yogurt and chocolate` laddoos’ Art, to all students, is like a diary. The students had put forward what is created in their minds, with beautiful imagination which the world saw and appreciated in the art pieces by the students.Poems in Hindi, ‘Hum Pukarte Tumhe” and ‘Hey Ishwar Tumne kaha tha…… were read with lot of accolades by Ma’am Anjali Jaipuria .Ma’am Anjali Jaipuria was joined by Mr. Vijay Dharia, the school architect who showed keen interest in the items displayed.Vases, paper rolling items, dotted painting, rope work, paper pasting, pencil shavings paintings, button paintings, shell paintings …..and the list is endless, everything was on display. The students had made them all!!Metal work, an interesting activity, consists of making delicate and beautiful designs on the hard metal sheets of aluminium. Pictures of god and goddess, flowers, were all up on display.”Alphabets combined and formed words,Words combined and formed sentences, And world got education………….”English Creative Writing activity, full of creativity was the cynosure of all eyes. From Book Reviews, to Twister Tales, the writing skills, burning fire for writing and the imagination of the students added a magical effect.Ma’am Anjali Jaipuria wrote “cannot find words befitting enough to comment on the depths of thoughts and height of expressions of our students. Thank you God and Thank You Teachers”. Our Principal, Ma’am Promini Chopra penned,” So proud of your deep thoughts, amazing work”. Candle Making, where “Creativity comes from a conflict of ideas” Our students created candles in amazing work of their imaginations with a lot of patience and persistence.
Hind Creative Writing, an activity which provides a platform for students who are always zealous to pen down their ideas and emotions in a larger perspective envisaging things, besides writing.Seth M.R. Jaipuria School’s 25 glorious years was well written about. Ma’am Anjali Jaipuria said, ” Stupendous work as this cannot be commented upon”.Ma’am Promini Chopra, said “excellent work displayed so well”.Books are the “Treasure houses of thoughts”, cease to be a treasure when they get old and worn out.The students of Book Binding activity had done yeoman service by binding the torn and tattered books, giving them a new lease of life and making them attractive.Batik is both an art and a craft. Students with their nimble fingers deftly fastening thread around seeds, coins and marbles created various patterns and designs in sarees, dupattas, table cloth, wall hanging etc.In the words of Georgia O’ Keefle, “I found I could say things with colours and shapes that I could’nt say any other way, things I had no words for”.The students stepped into the colourful realm of Fabric painting- an activity where students grab a brush, plunge it in a paint bottle only to unleash the artist and the designer within. Curtains, table covers, kurta’s, scarves and many more items were painted in resplendent colours which was a delight to see.’Jaipuria Airways’, a student’s dream was displayed in the Aero-modelling activity. Students in this activity have a great sense of awe and wonder. Young Aero modellers put in their skills and sweat to prepare the basic types of aero models.’A thing of beauty is a joy for ever’. Painting on glass has been carried forward as a treasured legacy and the students of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School showed sheer brilliance, stunning clarity and the use of rich colours in the Jungle Book, flowers, butterflies etc.Yoga, an inner journey to the soul. Asanas were displayed live and pep talks on the benefits of Yoga were given by students.Parents showed keen interest in the various asanas. Apart from the living man, there is nothing more wonderful than a book. ” Reading maketh a complete man’ (Bacon) and this indeed was the belief of the Readers’ Forum Activity students.Students took up the important task of inculcating the reading habit among themselves, with lively discussions, based on the reading experience of its members.Mathematics is a great motivator for all humans because its career starts with zero but it never ends (infinity). Mathematics undoubtedly is an interesting branch of study. However, some students have an unnecessary phobia of it, its a burden, and a brain teaser. Mathematics Club removes these phobias and helps the students with interesting logical games with problem solving techniques.BIOLOGY, the science of life and life processes. The students made efforts to make models of water treatment, models on global warming showed the importance and the unifying biological principles.Art, a direct medium of expression and the students took another step towards uncovering their hidden talents.The students of Jaipuria School have made a mark in the sphere of art. The students showcase their talents in different forms, nature study, still life and original compositions.
Many school from the city, Study Hall, River Side Academy, Modern School, Police Academy etc. were our guests and the students visited every activity and appreciated the exhibition.
The day ended with a content heart and fulfillment of the soul!! Watch us out in 2017
