In another round of class presentations on 25 September 2026, the children of LKG (E & D) and Nursery (E & F) enthralled the audience with their remarkable display of performative prowess. The event marked a continuity with previous class presentations in terms of its exploration of some stock Jaipurian themes such as sustainability and mindfulness. What was common to all the performances of the day was a visible sense of joy from the young stars, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves on stage, while seizing every occasion to wave at their parents proudly and ecstatically.
Nursery (E & F)
The stage was a sea of Krishna consciousness as the Nursery children of Section E dressed up as Radhas and Krishnas to celebrate the spirit of Janmashtami. The beautifully dressed emanations of the Divine figures were a visual delight, leaving the audience spellbound with the dance presentations of Krishna. Nursery F students presented a unique dance performance where they showed that energetic dance sequences can also be an occasion to practice mindfulness. As they joyously danced to upbeat music, they also incorporated calming breathing sequences as part of the dance, which proved to be a very popular experimental venture.
LKG (E & D)
The LKG students presented a skit in Sanskrit on parts of the body having a conversation with one another to determine who is the best amongst them. In the denouement, the Heart plays the mediator with the message, ‘Unity is strength’, bringing about a reconciliation amongst all. This presentation is one of the many examples of the success of the Devabhasha programme. Through such simple and engaging skits, the Sanskrit pedagogy has been transformed by the Devabhasha programme from a monotonous grammar-centric practice to a lively, conversational language. Other interesting presentations by the LKG students included ‘First Day of School’, some catchy rhymes, and a celebration of Holi. The children also presented an educative skit on the ‘Cry of Nature’, where the little green warriors came to the rescue of a planet throttled by pollution. In a continuation of the Nursery theme, the LKG students presented an adorable skit on ‘Krishna’, which included dialogues about his famous mischievous deed of stealing butter, before concluding with a graceful dance presentation.
Parent Collaboration
Continuing with Seth M. R. Jaipuria School’s signature ‘Parent Collaboration’ sequences, the School provided a platform for parents to present along with their children on stage. The segment also saw a warm and lively interaction with the Principal, Ms. Promini Chopra. These sequences not only proved to be an occasion to strengthen the bond between parents and children, but also helped instil mutual confidence. The interactions were highly insightful, with a parent proudly recalling that simple but meaningful practices taught in School such as offering the first bite to God or practicing silence were also practiced with the family. The parent beautifully summed up the spirit of Community Collaboration that the School inspires, transcending the boundaries of the School: ‘What started as a School practice has now become a family practice’.
