Vishwakarma Puja 2025: Honouring Lord Vishwakarma with Reverence

The scent of camphor and fresh wood mingled gently in the carpenters’ room of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School as the school community gathered to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja with reverence and shared pride, seeking the grace of the Divine.

Together, the school paid homage to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and patron of artisans, engineers, creators, and builders. Faculty and school heads led from the front, taking their places for the havan, while the wider school family (teachers, carpenters and electricians, technicians, administrators, and support staff) formed a circle of devotion around them, all joining in a single promise to honour work done with care, skill, and humility.

The havan, led by Mr. Vinod Tiwari, Sanskrit teacher, was performed by the heads and Vice Principals. Each mantra was offered as a plea for safety, excellence, and harmony in every workspace across the campus. As flames rose and grains fell into the sacred fire, the room, usually alive with the rhythm of chisels and sandpaper, turned contemplative.

Tools were cleaned and adorned to honour the instruments of livelihood, from books to equipment, with gratitude and grace.
On this occasion, Vice Principal Anupam Vidyarthi reflected on the spirit of the day with quiet warmth: “This annual celebration is our way of offering gratitude for the hands and tools that build our school. It brings a rare, serene calm to the campus, and our prayer is simple: may we remain united in purpose and service.”
