
The Ladder of Feedback is a structure that helps establish a culture of trust and support through constructive feedback. It enables a child to critically appreciate the processes instead of rejecting them thereby strengthening the relationship between the giver and taker.
The students of Grade 4 were briefed about the four steps namely, ‘Clarify’ wherein they asked questions of clarification about the work being reviewed followed by ‘Valuing’ the strengths of the work. In ‘Concern’, they talked about the areas of improvement which eventually led them towards providing ‘Suggestions’ to enhance the quality of the work.
They questioned several aspects from within the classroom like ‘Silence Time’, ‘Classroom Activities’, ‘Wearing a Mask’, ‘School Property’ and so on.
This process of feedback provided the students an opportunity to think constructively whilst offering ideas for improvement in a positive manner.
