Independence Day Celebrations

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated on campus with great fervor and enthusiasm, whilst observing all social-distancing norms.
The day’s celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag and recitation of the National Anthem. This was followed by the Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra’s invigorating speech. In her address, Mrs. Chopra asked the audience to align their swadharm with the nation’s dharm. The audience was also addressed by Mr. Anupam Vidyarthi, Vice-Principal – Adm, where he spoke about the tremendous sacrifices made for our great nation.
The cultural program witnessed exemplary speeches from students, soulful music and enthralling dance performance from the students. The school orchestra’s rendition of Raag Kalawati and the western band’s original song Warriors of the Dawn was a musical treat for all present. The program culminated with the National Song, Vande Mataram.
There were online celebrations as well – a beautifully conceptualized special assembly was conducted wherein India’s contributions in different fields such as science, astronomy, mathematics etc. were discussed. In the Pre-primary school, children participated in ‘My Favourite Indian’ – a role play activity wherein they became their most loved patriot.
Seth M.R. Jaipuria School wishes the entire nation a very Happy Independence Day!
