‘SONATA’ Music Competition – 2016

Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow participated in “SONATA”, a Music Competition held at Ram Swaroop Memorial School, Lucknow on 22nd October, 2016.The competition was in both junior and senior category.Nearly 20 schools of the city including some from out-station participated in the competition. In the Vocal Solo singing, Neelima Singh won the 3rd prize. She sang in typical classical style of, Thumri and Dadra’ singing.In the Junior Vocal Solo category, Aditi Shukla who sang a rural folk song won the 1st prize.A troupe of five singers, comprising Shrishti Mishra, Radhika Gupta, Neelima Singh, Aishwarya Agarwal and ParipsaTripathi was well appreciated on their performance of Remix of 5 songs. The Rock-Band comprising Guitarist Aayush Singh, Ishaan singh and Porus Uttam Srivastava, Vocals by Puneet Singh Karki and Aaysush Agarwal on the Drums won the Ist Runners-Up Trophy The overall winning position was won by Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow as they were declared the first in the over all position. Congratulations students and keep it up !!!
