

Independence Day Celebration – 2016
” Patriotism, Sacrifices, Freedom-fighters Salute,Tri-colour, Parade ”
Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow celebrated the 70th Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm.India,is the cradle of human race,The birthplace of human speech,The mother of history,The grandmother of legends and the great grandmother of traditions. The chief guest for the occasion, the Principal Mrs Promini Chopra, unfurled the national flag.The school pledged it’s devotion towards it’s motherland. The Head Boy, Tathagat Bhatia and the Head Girl, Anushka Ganguly led the parade comprising the four Houses, Ganga, Krishna, Godavari and Narmada. Marching with all the zest,the squads were followed by the school band. Shivi Chola and Anusha Chitranshi carried forward the day’s celebration by inviting the chief guest, Mrs. Promini Chopra to speak a few words. Mrs.Chopra in her speech reminded the audience of their duties towards the country and said that we are the bearer of India’s future.Self-composed poems and speeches by the students on ‘Unity in Diversity’, ‘ Spirit of Patriotism’ ‘Love for the Motherland’,etc.,were some of the poems which left the audience spellbound. ‘bhavAnIbhArati’i’ (poems on India) a 100 verse Sanskrit poem, a part of the poem was recited by Lavanya Gupta, Aditi Shukla and Rishika Dixit.The performances by the students of the four houses was an added attraction for the parents and students. Nav Srijan, performed an act depicting the great ruler Ashoka, his Kalinga war which was so well enacted that the audience did not even blink an eyelid and were mesmerised by the serious acting.Speeches by Prakhar Pandey and Yashvardhan Singh in Hindi and english, respectively matched to the feel of patriotism that was present in every heart of those who were present. The breath taking Tae Kwon Do performance by the students was well appreciated. The Marty’s who shall remain in our heart and soul, we salute them for their sacrifice, bravery, courage, valor. The program me was concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
