It was a day of kids of Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, where the day 12th December 2014 was celebrated as the Junior School Founders Day with festivity and gaiety.
Vice Chairperson Mrs. Anjali Jaipuria and Principal Mrs. Anju Wal welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Jayant Krishna, President Lucknow Expression and Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Mayor of Lucknow. The programme was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp followed by Saraswati and Ganesh Vandana. Mr. Jayant Krishna equated the children as the future National and Social leaders and acquainted them with the works of recent Nobel Laureate – Mr. Kailash Satyarthi. He spoke on importance of education and how it helps in achieving high set goals that we set for our future.
He also sought the complete dedication and co-operation of teachers, staff members and students to actively participate in P.M. Shri Modi’s SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN, by maintaining cleanliness not only in the school but in the vicinity of the houses as well.
The cultural evening showcased various dance drama/plays by primary kids on the theme of epics of ‘Mahabharata and Ramayana’. To maintain our ancient linguistic treasure, Junior Section students presented a play ‘Aarasya Prabhawah’ in Sanskrit, dance and drama on Eklavya, Shravan Kumar, Krishana, Samudramanthan, musical orchestra and classical dances. The auditorium reverberated with the constant applaud by the revered audience.
The cultural bonanza came to an end after a vote of thanks by Hon. Principal Mrs. Anju Wal and National Anthem.
