Students at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School grow through a balance of physical, vital, mental, and spiritual or psychic aspects, something the school treats as a core part of its philosophy. The Scouts and Guides programme fits naturally into this vision. It gives students a space to challenge themselves, learn discipline, and discover what it means to work independently and as a team.
This week, our Scouts and Guides students travelled to the National Scouts and Guides Jamboree being held at the Defence Expo Ground in Vrindavan Yojna, Lucknow. The camp brought together thousands of young participants from across India, and our students became part of that vibrant learning environment.
At the Jamboree, Students stayed in tents and handled their own daily arrangements, making their beds, setting up their shoe racks and managing their space with responsibility. It was a quiet but powerful lesson in self-reliance.
The days were filled with activity. They took part in campfire sessions, camp craft, rangoli making, pageant shows, colour party drills and an ethnic fashion show that celebrated cultural diversity. At the food plaza, our students prepared and presented cuisines from Lucknow, turning the space into a small pocket of local flavour and pride.
Adventure zones added another layer of excitement. Students tried zip-lining, sky cycling, archery and rifle shooting. For many, these were first-time experiences that pushed them out of their comfort zones and helped build confidence.
One of the most meaningful parts of the camp was the platform it offered for expression. Participants reflected on the theme “Viksit Yuva, Viksit Bharat,” sharing ideas about ambition, responsibility and the kind of country they want to help build.
