On 24 November, Seth M. R. Jaipuria School had the honour of hosting Shri Ram Lal, Sah Sampark Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, along with RSS representatives Ganga Singh and Prashant Bhatia. They were received by students and senior leadership, including Shreevats Jaipuria Sir, Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Schools, Principal Promini Chopra Ma’am and Dr Sampadanand Mishra Sir of Rishihood University. The Sanskrit students offered a warm, traditional welcome by chanting mantras that set a gracious and devotional tone for the day.
The visit began in the pre-primary section, where the RSS officials interacted with students and observed the Devbhasha Sanskrit curriculum in action. They later visited Grade 2 to interact with the students before joining senior students in the auditorium, where learners from both Jaipuria and Navsrijan shared how Sanskrit, mantra chanting and conscious transformation have shaped their growth.
Speaking about Navsrijan and its commitment to underserved children, Shri Ram Lal ji said: “Navsrijan shows what true education looks like. In many places, education has turned into an industry but here every child is treated with the same dignity and given the same opportunity to learn. Children who could never imagine studying in such an institution because of financial limitations are welcomed without hesitation. This tells us that the people running Navsrijan do not see education as a business. For them, education is a value, a responsibility. I wholeheartedly congratulate the school committee and every teacher. Through your work, something truly meaningful is taking shape.”
Sharing a personal memory from his childhood, he said: “We learn a lot at home. My parents were not highly educated but my mother read the Ramayana in big letters and taught me its values. People often confuse dharma. Dharma is not religion. Religion is rituals. Dharma is duty. Tulsidas wrote Parahit saris dharm nahi bhai which means there is no duty greater than doing good for others. Doing good and speaking truth is dharma.”
He explained India’s deeper worldview to the students, saying: “Our sages realised God is one and that divinity exists in every being such as humans, animals and birds. That is why in India we worship trees, feed ants and feed fish. Every living creature holds life force. Even environmental care was embedded in our culture by calling Ganga Mother which was our way of speaking about water conservation.”
Emphasising integral development, he told the students: “In the West they speak only about the body. In communist countries they speak a little about the intellect. But in India and today in Jaipuria I saw students talk about the physical, vital, mental and spiritual or psychic aspects together. When all four are nurtured a person develops fully. I congratulate the school for this commitment.”
He also spoke about national feeling, saying: “Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam worked on nation building. RSS works to bring national feeling into society by thinking positive, speaking positive and doing good for the country. Loving your country does not mean ignoring its flaws. It means helping it grow.”
After the interaction, they explored the 33rd Founders’ Day art exhibition. There they spoke with student artists and appreciated their work.
As a gesture of gratitude, art teacher Ashwani Prajapati Sir presented Shri Ram Lal Sir with a student made painting. The moment captured the school’s blend of humility, creativity and respect and added a warm conclusion to his visit.
