Our Pre-Primary section at Seth M.R Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, warmly embraced the spirit of Diwali with an enchanting celebration that filled the day with joy, learning and cultural richness. The little ones, dressed in adorable ethnic outfits, came eager to experience the festivities. The celebration commenced with the students crafting vibrant rangolis using rose petals, marigold flowers and leaves, showcasing their creativity.
In the spirit of sharing and gratitude, students exchanged beautiful handmade Diwali cards with their classmates. Each section extended this gesture by gifting ‘bandhanwars’ to the support staff.
The classrooms glistened with festive decorations, prepared by the teachers and students. From colourful lanterns and earthen lamps made by the students to vivid visuals depicting scenes from the Ramayana, every corner reflected the essence of Diwali. The teachers shared the significance of the festival, narrating the story of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and his triumph over evil. This storytelling instilled in the students the values of light overcoming darkness and goodness prevailing over malice.
To add to the festivity, students also enjoyed delicious sweets. The day concluded with an energetic dance party as the children swayed to the lively beats of festive songs, their laughter and excitement spreading happiness all around.
