With a deep-rooted commitment to preserving the rich heritage of Sanskrit, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, has been celebrating Sanskrit Diwas with great enthusiasm for many years. This year, on August 16th, 2024, the school once again witnessed a vibrant celebration of Sanskrit Diwas, where young minds showcased their profound understanding and appreciation for the language.
Organized by the dedicated Sanskrit Department, the event highlighted the significance of Sanskrit, which is taught as a compulsory subject from Playgroup to Class Eight.
The program served as a grand showcase of the students’ accomplishments throughout the year, with each class from Playgroup to Twelfth presenting their unique talents. The event was a kaleidoscope of activities, including classroom presentations, dramatic performances, soulful songs, engaging conversations, recitations of the Gita, chanting of mantras, and many other captivating performances.

Distinguished guests, Prof. Sarva Narayan Jha and Prof. Bharat Bhushan Tripathi from the Central Sanskrit University, Lucknow, graced the occasion with their presence. The program commenced with an inspiring speech by the school principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, who emphasized the significance of Sanskrit in our culture and how the school integrates the language into the curriculum.
The remainder of the program was skillfully conducted by the students themselves, who demonstrated their proficiency in speaking Sanskrit fluently and naturally. The students’ ease in conversing and presenting in Sanskrit left the audience spellbound.
The Sanskrit Diwas celebration served as a testament to the school’s dedication to promoting Sanskrit as a vital part of education and culture. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the department head, Dr. Seema Mishra, followed by the national anthem.
