On the radiant 22nd of April, ablaze with enthusiasm, the tender hearts of our Nursery section joyously embraced Earth Day with unwavering zeal and boundless spirit. Engaged in a delightful activity, little munchkins embarked on a journey of discovery, learning the gentle ways to bring joy to Mother Earth.
Nursery teachers had set up a depiction of our planet, which had a sad emoticon placed on it, signifying that the earth is sad, as it is barren of trees and burdened by pollution. With eager hands and compassionate hearts, the little ones got on a mission to cleanse the land, diligently removing the litter that marred its beauty.
Later with tender care and a sense of purpose, little ones started placing trees and animals and the teacher eventually changed the sad emoticon with a smiling one. The teacher told them about how littering is bad for the environment.
This activity taught little kids that to keep our planet happy, we will have to take care of it, and instead of depleting its resources we must plant trees and adopt sustainable practices.
In the enchanting “Utility Box activity,” children were introduced to the concept of reuse. They were encouraged to repurpose cardboard boxes, transforming them into versatile utility containers. The children adorned their boxes with their chosen hues and decorations, adding a personal touch, and utilized them as storage units for their belongings, including books, with some even finding them perfect for housing their beloved toys.
