UMANG – 2023

On a sunny Sunday morning, Seth M.R Jaipuria organized their School Fete, “Umang 2023”. The fete started at 11:30 am and went on till 6:30 PM. Students, with great energy, enjoyed the day along with their parents. The event began with the school prayer, followed by 2 minutes of silence. After that, the fete was declared open by the school Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra. The fete featured over 50 stalls, each managed by the students under the supervision of the teachers.
The fate stalls had game and arcade stalls, a kids’ zone featuring fun rides and a bouncing castle, a yoga zone, an art stall, and the main stage, which witnessed open mic, fancy dress, musical, and dance performances. With great zeal, students explored each stall.
Stalls featured games such as “Buzz wire game,” “Flip it, win it,” “Whisper Challenge,” “Locke & Key,” “Hold the ball,” “Pop the Balloon,” and many more fun games. Students were seen playing passionately and winning exciting prizes. Even parents joined the students, reliving their childhood.
Throughout the day, the main stage was ablaze with a myriad of performances, featuring captivating fancy dress displays, mesmerizing dance routines, and enchanting musical performances. The students truly shone, showcasing their exceptional talents!
As Christmas was just around the corner, students performed heartwarming Christmas carols, and the audience was seen singing along.
The yoga zone featured two fun activities, the “Breathing challenge,” in which participants had to blow on a ball until it hit the yellow spot; the winner won fete coupons. The “Yogasana Challenge” required the person to perform the yoga poses displayed.
The art stall drew a throng of crowds, with people getting face and hand tattoos. Art pieces created by the students were also available for sale.
Food stalls offered lip-smacking dishes such as Chole Chawal, Dosa, Manchurian fried rice, and more! Popcorn and cotton candy were enjoyed the most by kids.
The event culminated with Principal Mrs. Promini drawing the lucky winner. Avantika, the First Head Girl of Seth M.R Jaipuria, wondering the grand prize.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, and the dedication of our students and staff truly paid off!
