Yogutsav’ 2023

On 20th October, we hosted the fifth edition of Inter School Yoga Competition, Yogoustav. The event started with invoking of the light within by lighting the lamp and seeking the blessings of lord Ganesha through the spectacular Ganesh Vandana. Durga dance on the sacred chants and little yoga maestros from the pre primary classes brought to the audience the emphasis the school lays on dance and yoga across all age groups.
Esteemed judges Mr Shambhudev , Dr. Awdesh Sharma , Dr. Alka Agarwal , Dr. Ruby Srivastava , Mrs. Seema Singh , Mr Vinay Kumar Srivastava , Mr Vinay Kumar Pathik and Dr. Durgesh Kumar lent their support to the event. They were an epitome of patience and perfection in observing the students and analysing their excellence in Yogasanas. As the jury shared their feedback, children learnt the finer nuances of Yogasanas and making Yoga a way of life.
The event was divided into three categories with the primary students performing group yogasanas and artistic yogasanas. The middle school category performed these as well as rhythmic yogasanas. Melodious soulful music accompanied Rhythmic Yogasana. The auditorium was seeped in serenity as Om chanting began.
Group Discussion on ‘Karma Yoga’by the senior category was moderated by the Gita group students,Saransh and Krinali and appreciated by all. The event culminated in the Prize distribution ceremony with Navsrijan being the winners and Seth M R Jaipuria, Bansal Campus being the first runners up.
Individual prizes were given to the host school which did not contest for the championship.
The goal of exhibiting the grandeur of the mind , body and spirit while embracing the different styles of yoga was beautifully achieved through Yogoutsav ’23 which exhibited camaraderie among the 204 participants from 13 schools.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the judges, yoga department, Principals and teachers of participating schools in collaborating with us to give importance to Yoga in schools across Uttar Pradesh.
