Maths Teacher Training Workshop by UnMath School

A two-day Maths Workshop was conducted by Ms. Divyanshi Mehrotra from UnMath School with teachers across grades. This teacher training workshop brought about collaborative ideas and discussions to the table for the benefit of all.

The introduction and discussion of three modules from UnMath School was welcomed into our existing pedagogy –

– The Maths Hotspot module to be incorporated by essentially turning the school into a math museum, utilising the architecture and design of the school to create points of investigation, introduce and clarify concepts.

– The Green Maths module focusing on recycling waste into games and activities, and converting them into teaching aids.

– The Gamification of Maths module intermingling concepts of maths with games like Othello, Jenga, darts, bowling pins and more such resources.

Based on the CREI (Creativity, Relevance, Exploration, Investigation) and ERP (Explore, Reflect and Peer Evaluation) models, teachers with the help of the mentor, Ms. Divyanshi, explored the three modules and even made sample lesson plans by the end of the workshop.

The hands-on training workshop was both enriching and enabling, providing teachers even more resources to make learning simpler. We look forward to our continued partnership with UnMath School to create happy classrooms at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar.
