The Four Houses at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow (July, 2016)

The school firmly believes that academics not only includes textual studies but for an all round development of a child a spectrum of House activities also play an important role. Seth M.R. Jaipuria School’s House system has a vertical structure across all the four Houses.The Four houses: Ganga,named after the most sacred river of India is represented by the Red colour. Godavari,referred to as the sister of River Ganga, is represented by Yellow, Krishna gets its name from Lord Krishna and holds the Green colour and Narmada meaning ‘giver of pleasure is embodied with the colour Blue. The Head-Masters and the Head Mistress of each house conduct and supervise the duties of each badge holder of their House.The school’s House system makes each badge holder responsible to perform duties at the various spots on the school campus during the Break-Time, Assembly Time etc..The duties are assigned to maintain the soft boards, to check the uniform, cleanliness, discipline etc. The Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, had convened a meeting of the House Masters to chalk out a concrete programme to assign proper and relevant duties to the newly elected House Captains, Vice-Captains and Prefects. The Principal shared about the relevance of selecting a larger group of students as Prefects so that the monitoring of students is not compromised upon. Seth M.R. Jaipuria School believes that the Four Houses will always wheel the school smoothly in myriad activities.
