On 11th July 2016, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow participated in a tree plantation drive initiated by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav. Various schools from the city, environmentalists, and Non Governmental Organizations joined in creating a Guinness Book Record by planting 5 crores saplings in 24 hours across the State. This gargantuan task of planting trees is to increase the forest cover in the State. Seth M.R. Jaipuria School sent around 250 children of class VIII along with 20 teachers and staff members who planted more than 350 saplings across an area of 10,000 sq ft. They were helped by the gardeners of the school .
