A special assembly was organised on 3rd February by the students of Class XI to wish their seniors good luck for their upcoming Board examinations.
The proceedings were conducted by Unnat Bansal whose showmanship kept the audience engaged throughout. Students found inspiration in Principal Promini ma’am’s words who addressed the students on the occasion. This was followed by motivating speeches replete with nuggets of wisdom, delivered by Saurav Banerjee and Mrs. Padma Srivastava in English and Hindi, respectively.
A skit was also organised to revisit important moments in the life of a student. Comprising acts ranging from ‘the night before an exam’ to the dreaded ‘parent teacher meeting’, the skit easily won all hearts as it was an accurate portrayal of the life of a Jaipurian.
When given the opportunity to speak on the occasion, Class XII students thronged to the stage and forgetting all human conceptions of time and place, spoke from the heart; although, the lachrymose faces and the cheers indicated that no one seemed to mind this extension. Notably, the Vice Head Boy Samarth Chaudhary articulated a self-composed poem in Hindi on his experiences in Jaipuria that was very well received.
The assembly was capped off with a few words by Tathagat Bhatia who then invited the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl along with Principal Promini ma’am to release a bunch of balloons as a symbol of the journey the Class of 2016 was to embark on and the heights they would reach. All in all, it was a memorable assembly.
