Beyond the Textbooks: Empowering the Next Generation of Tech Leaders at TechVista

A thoughtful and dynamic exchange of ideas took place in the Inter-House Hindi Debate Competition organised for the Middle School at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School on 21 July 2026. Conducted in the internationally acclaimed World Schools Debate Championship (WSDC) format, the event provided a platform for students to demonstrate and strengthen their rhetorical and critical reasoning skills. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Grades VI, VII, and VIII. Each house was represented by a team of three speakers, with one student from each grade. The competition featured all four houses: House of Strength, House of Harmony, House of Perfection, and House of Wisdom.
The first round of the debate featured the House of Strength and the House of Harmony on the topic “धनी व्यक्ति में सभी गुण होते हैं”. The debate was held in an interactive format in which speakers from both houses presented their arguments alternately, beginning with the Grade VI students. After a stimulating exchange of ideas, the House of Harmony emerged victorious. The second round featured the House of Wisdom and the House of Perfection on the topic “24 कैरेट सोने से शुद्ध आभूषण नहीं बनते हैं”. Following a rich and thought-provoking exchange of ideas from both sides, the House of Wisdom secured its place in the final round.
The final round featured a vibrant and lively debate between the House of Harmony and the House of Wisdom on the topic “जीवन में ज्ञान की अपेक्षा वक्तृत्व कला अधिक आवश्यक है”. The students displayed a natural flair for persuasive expression, intellectual agility, and compelling eloquence, which was reflected in the enthusiastic response of the audience who cheered every defining moment of the debate.
At the end of the competition, the following winners were declared:
The First Prize (Overall Winner) of the debate competition went to the House of Wisdom, represented by Anika Kashyap, Priyam Tiwari, and Saatwat Rao.
The Second Prize (Runner-up) was awarded to the House of Harmony, represented by Kridhanika S. Pandey, Anushree Gupta, and Ishanvi Soni.
The Runner-up (For the Motion) position was secured by the House of Strength with Vihaan Rastogi, Shailavi Singh, and Pranshi Pandey.
The Runner-up (Against the Motion) position was secured by the House of Perfection with Samriddhi Singh, Aradhya Kashyap, and Ishaan Srivastava.
The Best Speaker (For the Motion) title was awarded to Saatvat Rao.
The Best Speaker (Against the Motion) title was awarded to Anushree Gupta.
The event was thoughtfully adjudicated by Ms. Smriti Rekha Singh, Ms. Nidhi Saxena, and Ms. Raghavendra Pratap Singh, who carefully evaluated each team based on the parameters of subject content, memorisation, pronunciation, coordination, and holistic impact.
The teachers in charge of the event, Ms. Nabita Srivastava, Ms. Ranu Dixit, and Ms. Jaya Pandya, under the leadership of Dr. Kiran Singh, along with their colleagues Ms. Anita Singh, Ms. Nalini Mishra, Ms. Shilpee Pandey, Ms. Preeti Singh, Mr. Hari Shankar Singh, through their meticulous planning, tireless efforts, and unwavering dedication ensured the competition’s grand success. The anchors, Anmol Sharma and Yagyesh Pandey, as well as the student organising team comprising Asmi Tripathi and Divya Behl, working in close collaboration with the teachers, also contributed to the smooth and efficient conduct of the event.
