The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, an institution recognised among the world’s top ten schools for excellence in community collaboration. The celebration brought together students, teachers and members of the school community in a spirit of unity, responsibility and national pride. The carefully planned programme provided a meaningful blend of tradition, student expression, cultural performances and reflection on the values that shape our nation.
The celebration commenced with an impressive Guard of Honour, setting a dignified tone for the national celebration. It was a fitting beginning to a day dedicated to remembering the sacrifices that secured our freedom.
The National Flag was ceremoniously hoisted by the Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra and the Vice Principal Dr. Anupam Vidyarthi. As the Tricolour soared proudly, the gathering stood together in solemn respect and patriotic spirit.
Flag hoisting was followed by the March Past under the guidance of Mr. R. K. Singh.
The performance beautifully symbolised the strength and unity of the young citizens of India.
Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the meaning of true freedom. She encouraged students to become responsible citizens who contribute positively to the society. Her words reminded everyone that nation-building begins with character, compassion and responsible action.
The Junior School presented an aerobics display.It was a delightful treat for the audience, as the little ones charmed everyone with their energetic and adorable movements
An engaging talk show explored the important contemporary issue of brain drain and India’s growing global opportunities.
The discussion explored how India can retain its talent by creating greater opportunities, innovation and a supportive environment for its young minds.It highlighted the role of youngsters in addressing brain drain by encouraging them to contribute their knowledge, skills and innovations to India’s growth. The discussion emphasised the importance of creating opportunities in India while remaining connected to the global community.
The Head Boy,Sudev Nair, delivered a thoughtful speech highlighting the responsibilities that accompany the freedom enjoyed by citizens today.
He reflected on the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the role of young people in shaping India’s future.
Navsrijan presentation offered an opportunity for students to reflect on the meaning of Independence in contemporary India.
Through their thoughtful presentation, the students connected freedom with creativity, responsibility and social awareness.
It added a reflective dimension to the celebrations and encouraged the audience to look beyond the ceremonial aspects of Independence Day.
An engaging ‘Paricharcha’ in Hindi enraptured the audience with their discussion and deliberation on the role of the youth in modern India. It encouraged the youth to ponder over the delicate balance between freedom, rights and their duties and resposibilities towards their nation.
The participants demonstrated confidence, awareness and the ability to express their perspectives respectfully.
Next the Head Girl delivered an inspiring address which celebrated India’s journey as a free and democratic nation. Her message encouraged every student to become an active and responsible contributor to our society.
The melodious rendition of Sanskrit Geet celebrated India’s rich cultural and linguistic heritage.The vibrant dance presentation, “One Tricolour”, celebrated the unity and diversity of India through music and movement. The performers brought alive the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat with grace and enthusiasm.
The programme at the Front Field concluded with the National Song, filling the atmosphere with patriotic emotion.
