The last Junior School assembly for Grade 4 unfolded as a warm, reflective morning that carried both celebration and a quiet sense of transition.
The assembly began with a serene Sanskrit shloka, followed by English and Hindi prayers that set a calm tone for the morning.
Music soon lifted the mood as students presented a lively medley, filling the hall with energy and smiles. A short yet poignant conversation on the theme “A Day Without a Mobile” followed, where students reflected on how simple routines such as playing outdoors, helping at home, reading, and getting proper rest can make a day feel surprisingly joyful.
One of the most engaging moments came during a friendly interaction between students of Grades 4 and 5. Younger students asked their seniors about managing studies, handling multiple subjects, and what to expect in the coming year. The Grade 5 students shared honest advice from their own experiences, offering reassurance along with a few practical tips.
Speaking about habits and discipline, Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra encouraged students to reflect on the choices they make each day. “Small habits shape who we become. Reducing screen time, spending more time playing physical games, and reading regularly are simple changes that can make a big difference. A healthy body keeps the mind active and curious, and that curiosity helps you learn better both inside and outside the classroom.”
Towards the end of the assembly, a student presented a light-hearted Hindi poem dedicated to teachers. Through playful references to everyday classroom moments, from storytelling and maths lessons to science experiments and music practice, the poem highlighted the warmth, humour, and encouragement teachers bring into learning, leaving the audience smiling.
As the assembly drew to a close, students once again joined hands for the concluding shloka. The morning ended with everyone standing in respect for the National Anthem, a fitting close to an assembly that looked back with pride and forward with excitement.
