Learning the True Spirit of Holi: A Joyful Holi Celebration at Jaipuria

Colours found their way into classrooms in a unique way at Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, where Holi was celebrated in a thoughtful and joyful manner across the campus.

The day unfolded through a series of activities that helped children experience the festival as a moment of understanding, gratitude and care for the environment.

Creativity took centre stage as students tried their hands at tie-dye. Plain white T-shirts turned into vibrant patterns, and the excitement of watching those designs appear brought smiles to the faces of the students.

In another part of the school, the little ones gathered in the activity room to listen to the story behind the festival. Through the tale of Holika Dahan, they were introduced to the meaning of Holi and the message it carries about the triumph of good over evil.

The celebrations also carried a clear message about celebrating responsibly. Children took a pledge to avoid wasting water during Holi and to choose herbal and organic colours instead of harmful ones.

One of the most delightful moments of the day came when nursery students played Holi using colourful paper pieces from waste material.

The day concluded with staff members, including teachers, administrative staff, and support staff, gathering in the assembly area, where they greeted one another and gently put herbal colours on each other’s faces in the spirit of Holi.
