At Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, festivals are seen as moments to reinforce values that shape character. Christmas celebrations across the campus beautifully reflected the school’s emphasis on gratitude, unity and compassion, allowing students to connect festive joy with meaningful reflection.
The spirit of Christmas filled the campus throughout the week, especially in the pre-primary and primary sections. Classrooms and corridors were transformed with handmade decorations, while the gates of each class were adorned with Christmas trees, bells and colourful ornaments, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
As part of the celebrations, young students wrote letters to Santa, sharing their wish lists along with messages of gratitude and thankfulness. The activity encouraged children to reflect not only on what they wished for, but also on what they already had.
The highlight of the celebrations took place on December 24, when a special Christmas assembly was organised on the front field of the school. Students arrived wearing Christmas caps and Jaipuria jackets turned inside out. Standing class-wise in neat lines, they witnessed a beautifully curated assembly.
A play performed by the students, depicting the birth of Jesus formed the centrepiece of the assembly. The story unfolded on the stage, showing the nativity, the journey of the three wise kings and the spirit of hope that surrounded the occasion. The narrative was interwoven with carols such as Joy to the World, Silent Night and We Three Kings.
The arrival of Santa Claus brought visible excitement as children cheered, waved and clapped with delight. The celebration ended on a lively note with students singing along jingle bells.
Later, as students returned to their classrooms, Santa made surprise visits once again, spreading smiles and laughter. Sharing their wishes, Janvi Singh of Class 5 asked Santa for storybooks, Arav Rastogi of Class 4 wished for a puppy as a Christmas gift, while Vigyan Verma of Class 6 hoped for a family trip.
