The school auditorium at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School came alive with creativity, patriotism, and the magic of words on the 29th and 30th of April 2025, as the English Storytelling Competition for Grades 1 to 4 unfolded with grandeur.
The event brought together four talented students from each section, each proudly representing one of the school’s four houses — Wisdom, Strength, Harmony, and Perfection. Their eager faces reflected the excitement not only of participating, but of sharing stories that celebrated our country and its timeless spirit.
The theme for this year’s competition was Bharat, and the young storytellers truly rose to the occasion. Through heartfelt narratives and compelling expressions, they showcased the rich essence of our motherland — its traditions, beauty, and the courage of its unsung heroes. From tales of forgotten freedom fighters to stories of everyday Indians who have quietly changed lives, the children reminded everyone that the spirit of Bharat thrives both in history and in our daily lives.
The competition began on a solemn and respectful note with a warm welcome to the esteemed judges, followed by two minutes of silence, allowing everyone to centre themselves for the celebration of words and ideas that lay ahead.
Each performance was met with warm applause, as students narrated with confidence, expression, and a deep sense of pride. Their body language, voice modulation, and imaginative storytelling transported the audience into the heart of their narratives.
The judges were deeply impressed by the participants’ command of the language, clarity of thought, and the emotional depth with which they brought their stories to life. They lauded the efforts of both students and teachers, commending the blend of creativity and cultural pride reflected in each performance.
