Celebrating Grandparents Day: A Day of Love, Wisdom, and Cherished Bonds

Grandparents are the heart of every family—the keepers of traditions, the storytellers of the past, and the guiding light for future generations. To honour their unconditional love and invaluable wisdom, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School joyously celebrated Grandparents’ Day, creating moments of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. The celebration spanned two days, with 14th February dedicated to LKG and 15th February for Nursery and UKG, ensuring that every little one had the chance to cherish this special occasion with their grandparents.

The event began with a warm welcome as our little ones applied tilak on their grandparents’ foreheads, symbolising love and respect. The sight of children twinning with their grandparents melted everyone’s hearts, setting a beautiful tone for the celebration.

Addressing the grandparents and parents in the audience, Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra encouraged the grandparents to spend more time with their grandchildren and further remarked, “Children are not born to sit still; they are on an exploratory journey—running, jumping, and discovering the world around them. While parents juggle responsibilities, grandparents bring a different kind of presence—one of patience, wisdom, and deep connection. In today’s fast-paced world, they provide the calm and stability that children need. Having grandparents at home is not just a privilege; it is a necessity for raising a grounded future generation. Let us cherish and preserve this beautiful culture of togetherness.”

The celebration was filled with love, warmth, and gratitude as children dedicated heartfelt performances to their grandparents. A mesmerising dance to “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” beautifully expressed their devotion and admiration. The joy of togetherness continued with a non-fire cooking activity, where children and grandparents teamed up to create delightful treats, showcasing creativity and strengthening their bond.

Laughter echoed as families played a fun tambola game, engaged in art and craft activities, and captured precious moments at a specially designed selfie zone. They sang, danced, and performed together, cherishing every moment. The event concluded with grandparents and grandchildren relishing delicious treats, sharing stories, and creating memories to last a lifetime.

The celebration ended on a heartwarming note, reinforcing the unbreakable bond between generations and the school’s commitment to nurturing values of love, respect, and togetherness. Grandparents’ Day at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School was not just an event—it was a tribute to the guiding lights of our lives, celebrating their presence and the love they so selflessly give.
