The sports ground of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, glowed with the warm light of diyas as teachers, students, and alumni gathered to celebrate Deep-Utsav, a cherished school tradition that fuses the spirit of Deepavali with the school’s core values of compassion, unity, and conscious transformation.
The atmosphere was alive with joy as everyone gathered in vibrant traditional attire, bringing warmth and color to the school grounds. Together, they lit diyas, creating a glowing path around the football field and basketball court. Students placed diyas around their sports equipment, from hockey sticks to cricket bats, each bathed in the soft glow of diyas. Adding to the festivity, students also made beautiful flower Rangolis!
Reflecting on the years he spent at Jaipuria, alumnus Harsh Nath shared, “Jaipuria instilled in me the values of kindness and compassion through traditions like Deep-Utsav. It taught us that each diya we light represents a chance to bring light into the lives of others.”
