Pre-Primary: Janmashtami Celebrations

We joyfully celebrated Lord Krishna’s birthday, Janmashtami, in our LKG classes! The children were thrilled to create their own ‘mukut’ (crowns) and ‘matki’ (pots) using paper, paint, and leaves, just like Krishna’s. They enthusiastically sang ‘Choti Choti Gaiya’ and enjoyed the visual displays of Lord Krishna, accompanied by decorative props like flowers and leaves. Through storytelling, we explored Lord Krishna’s birth and childhood, teaching the children valuable lessons about kindness, love, friendship, and the cultural significance of Janmashtami.

As we celebrated, we remembered Krishna’s profound message: “Love and compassion guide us to be kind, gentle, and compassionate towards all.” Our Janmashtami celebration was a delightful blend of creativity, learning, and joy, inspiring our young minds to embrace Krishna’s timeless values.
