Celebrating Gratitude Day with little munchkins of LKG & UKG

“Gratitude is the emotion of recognition of gifts that surrounds us each day”
The practice of being grateful and constantly expressing gratitude for small and big things is instilled in our Jaipurians.
Embracing that energy, a special Gratitude Day assembly was organized by the Social Awareness Club in collaboration with other clubs. The assembly took place on May 1st, 2024 at our School’s Assembly area. We began with a short session of yoga breathing exercises, which energized the students.
Following the yoga session, a student recited a self-composed poem on the topic of gratitude.
Later Social Awareness Club performed a skit illustrating the challenges faced by support staff in their roles. The play depicted what would happen if students took over these responsibilities for a day.
The School Head Girl, Zoya Khan, and Vice Head Girl, Dhrati Tiwari, addressed the students. They asked students to share that for which they are grateful within the school.
In response to this, students expressed profuse gratitude towards their teachers, support staff, school spaces, parents, and friends.
Our Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, encouraged students, both junior and senior, to express gratitude, she added, “There are myriad reasons to be grateful every day. The first thing you do in the morning is to say to yourself, “I’m grateful for this day. I slept well and got up well.” This gratitude day will serve its purpose if in this school, each one of you finds one reason to be grateful every day and notes it in your diary.”
Later in the day, the support staff assembled in the school auditorium, where the Social Awareness Club had orchestrated a heartfelt event in their honor. Students cut a cake with the support staff, delivered musical performances, and showcased lively dance routines. Even members of the support staff joined in, sharing their own talents through song and dance. Following the festivities, all enjoyed a sumptuous lunch prepared with care and gratitude.
