A mild breeze and a touch of soft sunshine adorned the assembly ground on 2nd of February as we conducted our first physical school assembly. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer. Subsequently, Kirti Gaur Ma’am took the stage to talk about the habit of reading, quoting, “A person who reads lives a million lives, whereas the one who doesn’t only live one.” She further elaborated on the reading culture introduced by our respected Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra. According to this initiative, each student is required to fill the book log in their school diaries, documenting the books they read throughout the year.
Ms. Kriti Ma’am invited Avnil Pandey of 5D to present his review of the book “The Firework Maker’s Daughter” by Philip Pullman. Avnil, who read the book during the winter break, enthusiastically shared his insights and learnings through an elaborate narrative performance.
Now, the spotlight turns to achievers. The year has just begun, and we already have our Jaipurians securing prestigious positions in various events. A total number of 20 schools have participated in the Eco Saveus Quiz organized by the Rotary Club and our school students, Reyansh Gupta of grade 7, Arjun and Anmol of grade 6 came as winners of the event. They will compete for nationals in the coming weeks.
Saanvi Agarwal emerged as the standout winner at Girls SGFI Chess tournament. Saanvi secured victory in 4 out of 5 matches, undergoing a triumphant streak of 3 consecutive wins, which opened her path to the International Chess tournament. Saanvi’s parents were specially invited to the school to witness as Saanvi was facilitated with medal by the Principal. In her acceptance speech, Saanvi thanked her parents and teachers, she also encouraged students to join the Chess club at the school.
Saanvi’s mom took the stage to express gratitude where she spoke about the support Saanvi received from the school since the beginning of her journey. She also encouraged the students to discover themselves better by engaging in hobbies like Chess.
Subsequently, Respected Principal Promini Chopra ma’am, addressed the students, she said “Big victories only come out of sheer determination. Saanvi is a prime example of determination, she led her team as the captain and stood out as the sole representative from both Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, showcasing her resilience and dedication on a broader scale.”
