Junior School – 4th Annual Athletic Meet

Mini athletes, major cheers – our Junior school athletic meet was a playground extravaganza! On November 7, 2023, the 4th Annual Athletic Meet was held at the front field of Seth M.R Jaipuria School. Little ones showed immense excitement on the playground as their parents cheered for them. Each event took place under the guidance and supervision of Teachers from the Sports Department. Subject teachers were also in the field, ensuring students were disciplined. The event annocuments were made by Ms. Kiriti Gaur, Ms. Garima Sondhi and Jyoti Mishra. The day began with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra. Then, everyone stood for the Jaipuria anthem, followed by House-wise march past by the students. Yashasvi Singh of grade 6th took the oath. In her inauguration speech, Mrs. Promini Chopra spoke about how students must properly balance mental and physical health. She also talked about how kids are getting busier with gadgets, and physical activities have taken a backseat.

 

 

First graders were seen on the field joined by their parents; they participated in events such as the Spider-Rar, Cone relay, Tunnel race, Ball race, and more. Later, races began with a 50-meter boys and girls race for 1st-grade students, a 100-meter race for boys and girls in 2nd and 3rd grades, and a 200-meter race for girls and boys in the 4th grade.

After a short break, D division boys and girls came on track for a 100-meter race, followed by a 200-meter race for boys and girls in D Division. Long Jump for D division boys and girls marked the second last event of the day, followed by a 1000-meter open race where students from all junior grades participated.

The event concluded with a prize ceremony where the children received medals and certificates. After the event, teachers joined the field for some fun, engaging in a water bucket race. Students enthusiastically cheered for their teachers, making the event even more memorable.
