The 31st Founders’ Day of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School was marked with renewed zeal this year on the 29th, 30th November, and the 1st of December. It celebrated everyone and everything that leads the school from ignorance to knowledge through conscious transformation. The event commemorated the school’s magnanimous achievements and laurels, moral principles, and ethics that the school is known for.
The occasion was graced by the Chief Guests Mr. Gurcharan Dasji, the renowned author and journalist, Mrs. Anjali Jaipuria, Vice Chairperson Integral Education Society, Mr. Kanak Gupta, Director Seth M. R. Jaipuria Society, and Mr. Uday Arya, Co-Founder @ Blue Founders Ventures. The program began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by the 170-piece school orchestra, which performed a mesmerizing combination of ‘Raags.’ The audience was then addressed by our Vice Chairperson. Anjali Jaipuria, the Chief Guests for the occasion Mr. Gurucharan Dasji, our Principal-Mrs. Promini Chopra.
The Walk of Excellence followed next, where the students who had performed exceptionally well in their respective fields were honored. Shivanya Vardhan of 12 E, who had displayed skills in creative writing (both English and Hindi), was an excellent debater and elocutor, an efficient MUNner, and also a good sportsperson won the prestigious All-Rounder of the Year Award for Senior School.
In the middle school, Kartik Agarwal was declared the All-Rounder of the Year. Kartik showed amazing dexterity in various fields such as academics, debating, creative writing, art, and quizzing. He won the Geo quiz (Junior Category) in Geofest International held at CMS Kanpur Road, where students from 40 national and international schools had participated. The other winners of Geo Fest, namely Tarun Prakash, Maaz Ahmed, Punya Goel, Aman Bhargav, Tanishka Singh, Manan Sainath, and Rudransh Chaturvedi, were also felicitated for their stupendous achievements.
The Walk Of Excellence was followed by a fascinating Hindi play, ‘Talash.’ ‘Crusaders of Environment’ screened the interview of Mevalalji on how to reuse the waste material. Continuing with the theme of the environment, a dance was presented by the senior students. The theme of the dance was ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbukam.’ For the first time, the Computer Department presented a game, ‘The Temple Run,’ through Artificial Intelligence, where the participant himself/herself becomes an active participant in the game. An interesting dance reflecting the journey of The Social Awareness Club was put up by the club members, where they portrayed how they had reached out to the downtrodden and the needy throughout the year.
The Seniors’ English Play was a unique one. It illuminated the relevance of the four walls of Jaipuria school, reflecting the essence of the school’s philosophy. Through a skit ‘Harvest Of Hope,’ the Commerce Department portrayed the reason for wheat export ban during the Russia-Ukraine war and its effects on the Indian Economy. An interesting Tutting and Mime performance had the audience spellbound when it exhibited the major achievements of Bharat in the year 2023-24. The highlight of the show was the mesmerizing ‘Shiv Tandav,’ which displayed the various forms of Tandav. These forms ranged from the ‘Bhavmay Tandav’ to Raudra Tandav. The Senior School Founders’ Day celebration came to an end with a Vote of Thanks delivered by our Vice Principal, Mr. Anupam Vidyarthi.
