Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar – School of Conscious Transformation organised the third edition of Bizathon, an Inter School Commerce Fest, in memory of our Founder, Late Dr. Rajaram Jaipuria, on 14th and 15th July.
With 216 participants from 16 schools from across the state, the fest sought to enlighten and empower students as they unleashed their inner entrepreneurship skills while changing ideas into actions.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. Sanjay Medhavi (Head of Department – Business Administration, Director – Central Placement Cell, Registrar – University of Lucknow), Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra and the Vice Principal – Administration, Dr. Anupam Vidyarthi.
Dr. Medhavi appreciated this initiative by the school, specially for Commerce students, and in his address to the participants, spoke about how participative learning is what is required today. He also explained how the art of learning is so important and advised students to invest their time and effort into their careers.
Day 1 of the fest witnessed a plethora of events from Stock Wars to Crisis Management. We saw children employing the art of budgeting, engaging in a thrilling battle of words, revealing their unique perspectives and imaginative interpretations through photography, and much more.
On Day 2, we had the pleasure of welcoming Late Dr. Rajaram Jaipuria’s daughter as our Chief Guest – Mrs. Archana Khaitan, Past Chairperson, FLO Lucknow Kanpur, and his grandsons – Mr. Siddhart Khaitan, Co-founder and CMO of Global Craft, and Mr. Anuraag Kumar Khaitan, Regional Director of Brainobrain (Gujarat, Haryana and Rajasthan) as our Guests of Honour. Mrs. Khaitan congratulated all the students and appreciated how the vision and legacy of her father is being carried forward through such diverse festivals.
The Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, spoke about how this is an initiative to raise the level of Commerce education in the city and advised all the participants to go about the events with awareness, knowledge and forming associations as their three objectives.
With an illustrious panel of unbiased judges, the events explored the dynamic world of Commerce through intense debates, business trivia and risk taking. Employing the art of persuasive communication and crisis management, our aspiring business leaders revealed their unique perspectives and imaginative interpretations over the course of two days.
At the closing ceremony, our guests interacted with some of the participants, who presented a sales pitch for their real estate platform and addressed the issues raised. These budding change makers were applauded and appreciated by all.
As the fest came to a closure, the students were felicitated for their enthusiastic participation. This Commerce Conclave truly provided a space for our young minds to think and perceive outside the classroom as they build a sustainable future through innovative and humanitarian solutions.
