Bhavani Bharati is the only Sanskrit poem composed by Sri Aurobindo. This poem occupies an important place from the point of view of national integration.
Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow organized the eighth edition of the Inter-School Bhavani Bharati Competition 2021, held in a virtual capacity.
It was an honour for us to host 27 schools from across the country with 288 participants on an online platform. The opening and closing ceremonies were carried out under the able guidance of our Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, our Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Anjali Jaipuria and our mentor, Dr. Sampadananda Mishra. The Chief Guests for the ceremonies were Dr. Shrinivasa Varakhedi and Dr. Sachchidanand Mishra respectively.
Events like Sukanthabharan – Recitation where participants explained the meanings of the shlokas recited by them, Bhavabhivyakti – Role play wherein they depicted their perception of any verse or verses of the poem, and Swamatam- Speech based on their views of the poem and its influence on them, their feelings while reading the poem and the relevance of the poem for the present generation, were conducted.
The competition saw a phenomenal turnout and enthusiastic participation, and was a huge success.
