EARTH DAY – PAPER BAG ACTIVITY

Class UKG of Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow celebrated Earth day on 22 April 22, 2019, with full enthusiasm.
They made paper bags from old newspapers. This activity focuses on the creativity skill of the children. They made wonderful use of their fine motor skills and finger coordination .
It was a wonderful surprise when simple folding and pasting exercise created a beautiful paper bag which can be used for daily activities. Strings were also made with newspaper and ribbons.
Students understood the concept of reuse of paper and alternative for the polythene bags. Paper bags were made colourful with the help of crayons and pencil shavings. It was a delight to see young ones carrying their beautiful paper bags and a pledge in a heart “NO TO PLASTIC”
