Safety of the children

Schools all over the country, today are  in a grip of anxiety and concern when it comes to the security of the children. Generalizing the opinion that schools do not have enough safety measures in place would be unfair, its is only ‘extra careful’ that can clear the fear from the minds of the parents.On 15th September, 2017, ‘Hindustan’, a daily newspaper, published from Lucknow had invited to its office , principals, teachers from various schools of the city,  child counselors, parents, specialists and officials from the Education Department for an open discussion on the growing fear among parents regarding the safety of the children. Mrs. Asha Chadda, Academic Head and Principal to Navsrijan, from Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow was an honored panelist. Mrs. Chadda firmly asserted that “no visitor is allowed on the school campus during school hours”. Mrs. Chadda informed the other panelists that “the school functions from 7.30 am to 2.10 pm for the children, where as for the teachers the timings are from 7.20 am to 2.30 pm. During this period neither parents nor visitors are allowed on the school campus. In case of an emergency the parents or the visitors would be allowed after the verification of their credentials.” The discussion reached a conclusion that the cooperation of the parents with the school authorities is necessary.
