Lucknow Yoga Association in collaboration with Gurukul Academy, Indira Nagar, Lucknow had organised Yoga asanas Competitions on 30th April and 1st May, 2016.
The students in the age group of 8 -11 years and 11- 14 years of age were invited to be a part of India’s glorious culture. 12 participants from Seth M.R. Jaipuria School took part in the championship.All the participants were given participation certificates. Two students from our school were given Medals for Excellence. Aditi Bansal in category 8 -11 years performed some difficult yoga postures like Chakra asana, Sarvang Asana, Purnbhujang asana. Rajeev Singh in the same category performed Mayur Asana, Bakdhayan Asana and Head Stand. The highlight of the competition was when our children performed some advanced asanas and were highly applauded. In the question round our children answered to all the questions put to them. It is to be appreciated that our students knew, why is yoga performed. “It is the union of the mind with the body”. Congratulations children.
