The bright sunny morning of 30th March heralded the beginning of the new session of 2016-17. The assembly was opened with a speech by Principal Mrs. Promini Chopra who warmly welcomed all students, and thereafter gave a motivational prayer.
The assembly commenced on a sacred note, by the recitation of first shloka, followed by the prayer by Vice Principal, Dr. Anupam Vidyarthi. Thereafter, the school prayer was presented by the school choir, joined by the mob, which filled the atmosphere with melody and devotion.
The assembly was hosted by the students of class VIII. A wonderful thought was presented next, which undoubtedly marked the beginning of a fruitful day ahead. Then, a short poem was recited, titled “new beginning” which best suited the occasion. This was followed by a short story, narrated by two of our students, on the virtue of selflessness and purity of thought.
Thus, the first assembly came to an end. Lastly, the Principal addressed the gathering, updating them about a few changes, and the plan in mind for the upcoming session. She inspired the students, to set a goal for them this year, get their resolutions made and fulfill them earnestly. This filled them with zeal, all set to go for the new academic year.
It was finally concluded with the National Anthem.
