A Homage to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam

The nation lost its most revered President, Dr. Abdul Kalam on 27th July, 2015.

A visionary, an academician, the ‘Missile Man’ known for his scientific feats, an icon and a role model for millions of Young Indians, left us while doing something he loved the most – teaching.

We, Jaipurians shared a special bond with this great personality. It was the year 2007, when Dr. Kalam walked the portals of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School as the Chief Guest on the Founder’s Day. His vision and energy had inspired many who aspire to achieve success the way he had, through hard work and honesty.

A special Assembly was organized to pay homage to the great leader at school . After the address by the Principal a two minute silence was observed. Teachers and students reminisced his achievements and their experiences with him.

To mark the occasion a tree plantation drive was planned in which the students participated with great enthusiasm. All the other celebrations due for that day were suspended as a mark of respect for the departed soul.
