Personal Transformation Project- Class 8

Personal Transformation Project- This novel technique was used by class-8 students as a project in order to identify an issue which needed to be addressed- be it in their life or in the society. It not only involved planning, research, creativity, technical expertise but also brought about transformation in each one’s personality.

The project – the topic for which is decided by the students themselves in May- is totally child-centric as the role of the teacher is only that of a facilitator. The students devise their own strategies to identify the issue which is not only closest to their heart but also will be instrumental in their gradual transformation. It gives them a serious purpose to which several hours after school are dedicated by the students. Finally , their diligence, innovation and perseverence was reflected in their presentations on 17th December,2016, in front of the jury comprising of a parent, teacher and a peer too. Their self- confidence and commanding personalities were very much evident of the fact that each student has worked on his\her project from the grass-root level and polished it well to earn huge rounds of applause from all corners. The tea session at the end was fruitful with positive feedback from the peers and the parents which were a part of the jury. The Principal applauded the teachers’ efforts and assured the incorporation of the constructive suggestions by the jury members.
